Livermore, Calif. – GILLIG LLC, a leading manufacturer of heavy-duty transit buses in the United States, announces plans to move its corporate headquarters and production plant from Hayward, CA to the Oaks Business Park in Livermore, CA, in May 2017. The newly constructed, custom designed 600k sqft manufacturing plant and corporate headquarters, will further GILLIG’s 127 year tradition of high quality manufacturing in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The decision to construct a new manufacturing plant in Livermore, CA, was made in an effort to support GILLIG's impending growth while preserving the jobs of the current GILLIG team. The Livermore site provided the necessary acreage for the expansive manufacturing plant, and provides GILLIG a new home in an innovative, progressive community central to where a majority of our employees currently live. According to GILLIG president, Derek Maunus, “Our new facility and the quality of buses built there will represent a world-class operation that underscores our commitment to both our customers and our employees. We are investing in the GILLIG team, the Bay Area, and creating strong, stable U.S. manufacturing jobs.”
