01/11/2013 Mechanical Engineer

Gillig is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead design projects for design component parts and systems for heavy duty diesel and hybrid powered transit vehicles. Responsibilities will include creating layouts (in Autodesk Inventor/Autocad), part designs and drawings, component and system design/validation/testing, writing instructions for bill of material creation, production support and on-line problem solving, working with vendors on manufacturing/service issues and new products. With minimal supervision, you must be able to engineer high quality, cost effective designs, maximizing commonality across product lines. You must be able to provide technical support to Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Service departments. Good communication skills are required.

Requirements: Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years design engineering experience.

2/1/2013 Electrical Engineer  

Gillig is seeking a Hybrid Systems Electrical Engineer with design experience in vehicle systems and controls.​ Projects are varied and technically challenging.​ To be successful you will need working knowledge of AutoCAD, ladder logic, and high voltage testing.​ In addition, knowledge of project management, circuit design, component selection, testing and trouble shooting is essential.​ A BSEE degree is required and experience in the design of bus or truck electrical systems is preferred.

3/17/2013 Parts Buyer  

Gillig is seeking a Parts Buyer who will establish and manage sources of supply, negotiate quotations and bids, purchase critical materials and/or components in accordance with price, quality, and schedule objectives.

This position will also be responsible to expedite critical deliveries and will require extensive technical research including new products.

A college degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience is required. The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and at least one MRP or ERP software package. Good oral and written communication skills are also required.

05/30/2013 Supply Chain Data Analyst

(Buyer, Purchasing, Procurement)

 

 

Gillig is looking for a Supply Chain Data Analyst who would be responsible for maintaining accurate on hand balances by processing inventory transactions resulting from cycle counts, material reviews and outgoing material.  Individual must research, coordinate and facilitate the movement of inventory to the Gillig Parts Department.  The position requires interfacing with buyers and engineers to ensure correct interpretation and routing of engineering releases.  This position is developmental for the procurement function. 

Applicants must be organized; details oriented and have the ability to multitask.  They must also have a working knowledge of Excel & Word, Lotus Notes is a plus.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.  Candidate must have a BA/BS or equivalent experience. 

06/14/2013 Tax and General Accounting Manager  

Gillig is looking for a Tax and General Accounting Manager that would be responsible for the preparation and timely filing of all the company's tax returns and estimated payments on a quarterly basis. Individual would maintain the general ledger and fixed asset systems, participate in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process. Candidate would also participate in the annual financial audit and preparation of the formal audited financial statements. Duties also include the reconciliation of all tax balance sheet accounts, the preparation and review of monthly journal entries and other supporting schedules.

This position requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance with three to five years of increasingly complex accounting responsibilities, preferably in federal and state income taxes. CPA certification and public accounting experience is highly desirable. Excellent analytical, organizational and communicational skills are a plus. Candidate should have a high level of proficiency with accounting systems, PC applications (Microsoft Excel).
